Chad Sedio (Miami Ohio) Edenton
Sedio finished the regular season one RBI shy of a Triple Crown, holding an unbelievable .408 regular season batting average with 16 home runs and 49 RBI to go along with 18 doubles and one triple. Along the way, Sedio set new all-time CPL records for both total bases (143) and slugging percentage (.769), while his 16 home runs came just shy of tying the record for home runs (17) in a season set back in 1998 by Jason Dubois of Rocky Mount.
Zach Prendergast (Seton Hall) Edenton
The now junior at Seton Hall, finished the regular season with a 6-0 record and the top ERA in the league at 1.17 while also striking out 46 and walking only eight in 46 innings pitched on the year for a .162 opponent’s batting average and a .717 WHIP. He also took a no-hitter through 8 1/3 innings and a perfect game through 8 2/3 innings in, before falling just short of history in both outings.
